Adult Learners at Jefferson College

As an adult learner at Jefferson College, you bring a wealth of life experience and knowledge to the campus.

Most people would probably picture the average college student as a recent high school graduate who lives on campus and pays for their education with help from their parents. But this is not the case for many of our students! Did you know that the average age of a Jefferson College student is 22?

Financing a College Education

Most students worry about whether they can afford a college education and adult learners are no different. Those with children or other family members to care for may find it especially difficult to pay for their education. Jefferson College is one of the most cost-effective choices among Missouri colleges and universities, offering an outstanding value and many financial assistance opportunities.  In addition to federal and state grants, we offer many Jefferson College specific scholarships.  We also encourage you to search the web for additional resources created just for adult learners.
