Most of the boil order for the Hillsboro Campus has been lifted. Only the Student Center remains under the boil order; all other buildings, including Viking Woods, are back to normal operations.

Student Compliance

The Student Compliance Department supports a safe, respectful, and empowering campus environment where all individuals can achieve their goals. This mission is advanced through prevention and education efforts, fostering a culture of reporting concerns, providing individualized case management, and upholding community standards through accountability.

Whether it is through community standard or campus support, we are here to make sure you thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Priority areas include:

  • Student Wellness and Counseling Services: Offers free on-campus and virtual counseling services, along with Vikings Care initiatives focused on prevention, education, resource awareness, and promoting help-seeking behaviors.
  • Care Team: The Care Team uses a harm-reduction approach to receive, assess, and respond to student behavior and well-being concerns, including harm to self and others, providing personalized case management and support. 
  • Student Conduct: The Student Conduct Office promotes ethical campus citizenship through enforcement of community standards, respect for individual rights, and accountability as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Student Compliance: Ensures compliance with regulations and standards including Suicide Prevention, International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) Standards, Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Oversees the development, implementation, and communication of policies and procedures related to student conduct, including adherence to Jefferson College Procedures VII-012 (Complaints Alleging Discrimination or Harassment), VII-012.1 (Title IX Sexual Harassment Procedure and Grievance Process) and VII-014 (Pregnancy and Related Conditions) including reporting and training requirements.
