Grants

Grants are funds available to help pay for educational expenses that do not have to be repaid. There are federal and state grants available, and eligibility is based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

There are several types of grants available to Jefferson College students. They include:

Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant is the largest source of financial assistance for Jefferson College students. The grants range from $740 to $7,395 for the 2024-2025 academic year depending on financial need and hours of enrollment.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

FSEOG is a campus-based award program designed to supplement Pell Grant funds for students with the greatest financial need. Grants are up to $600 and priority is given to those students who apply by June 1.
