BLS Training

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This in-person course is designed to train healthcare professionals how to perform CPR as well as other lifesaving skills, in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Each participant must obtain an 84% or higher on the evaluation and demonstrate proficiency in all CPR skills. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a BLS for Healthcare Provider course completion card valid for 2 years.

Female CNA

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

The in-person CNA Program prepares students to perform basic nursing care skills for residents in long-term care facilities, under the supervision of charge personnel. This 12-week program consists of at least 75 classroom hours of instruction and a minimum of 100 hours of clinical practice under the direct supervision of an instructor. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the State of Missouri knowledge and skills exams to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. The program also offers an optional CNA apprenticeship opportunity.

CMT Training

Certified Medication Technician (CMT)

To qualify: Applicants must be a current CNA with at least 6 months of verifiable experience.
The in-person CMT training program prepares individuals for employment in intermediate care or skilled nursing facilities. The program teaches students the skills required to administer non-parenteral medications. This 8-week program consists of at least 60 classroom hours of instruction and a minimum of 8 hours of clinical practice under the direct supervision of an instructor. Upon successful completion of the program and testing, students' names will be placed on the Missouri State CMT Registry. Additionally, the Insulin Administration course can be included for an additional fee.

Dental Assistant

Clinical Dental Assistant

As a Clinical Dental Assistant, you will perform as a professional dental staff member and work on behalf of the patient as well as the dentist. This online Clinical Dental Assistant program can help you gain entrance into the Dental Assistant career path. The online, self-paced program consists of 300 online course hours and an optional in-person clinical experience.

Blood Sugar Test

Insulin Administration

To qualify: Applicants must be registered CMTs or MA-1s to register for this course.
This in-person course covers key aspects of diabetes management, including symptoms, medications, and treatment. Students will also learn insulin administration, infection control, and observation techniques. This 2-session course consists of a 4 hour classroom session, including a written final and a 2 hour clinical with a test, all supervised by an instructor.

Male Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (MA)

Medical Assistants are responsible for a range of patient care and administrative tasks, including obtaining vital signs, administering medications, providing wound care, assisting with procedures, managing medical records, processing health insurance paperwork and more. This hybrid course includes 400 hours of online instruction, bi-monthly in-person open labs, and 180 hours of in-person clinical experience. 
Upon successful completion, students are prepared to test for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification exams.

Medical Coding and Billing

Medical billing and coding positions are in demand within medical facilities, health insurance companies, specialty pharmacies, medical suppliers, consulting firms, and national medical coding and billing companies. The Medical Billing and Coding program will prepare you for success as you learn about legal, ethical, and regulatory concepts central to this field, including HIPAA compliance, official coding guidelines, and third-party payer requirements. You will come to understand all phases of the revenue cycle—from patient registration through medical coding, claims submission, reimbursement, and collections. Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacies. They support pharmacists by precisely and efficiently preparing prescriptions, inputting patient and order data, processing insurance claims, and providing high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers. This online, self-paced program includes 400 hours of online coursework and an optional 100 hour in-person externship. Upon completion of this course, you will be prepared to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE), offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
