Ribbon-cutting events for Vet Tech and Workforce spaces Sept. 11

Jefferson College will host two ribbon-cutting celebrations on Thursday, Sept. 11, showcasing updates to its Veterinary Technology Building (Vet Tech) and Workforce and Employment Services (WES) space.

Both events are open to the public and will take place on the Hillsboro campus located at 1000 Viking Drive, Hillsboro, MO 63050, starting with the Vet Tech Building Celebration from 2-3 p.m., followed by the WES Open House from 3-4 p.m. 

Each celebration will include guest speakers, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and guided tours of the new spaces. Attendees can drop in for one or both events.

The Vet Tech Building has been expanded to give students more access to hands-on training for both large and small animals. The upgraded space features modern labs, new equipment, and more room for applied learning.

The WES space has been completely renovated to better support students, local job seekers and employers. The updated layout includes dedicated areas for career counseling, job search resources, workforce training, and strengthening regional partnerships.
