Jefferson College Early Childhood Center earns eighth Missouri Accreditation
For the eighth time in a row, Jefferson College’s Early Childhood Center has received Missouri Accreditation, reaffirming its high standards in early learning. The latest recognition followed the program’s exit interview held on March 28, marking more than three decades of accredited care and instruction.
The Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth awards certificates to centers that meet its rigorous standards for developmentally appropriate practices. Jefferson College’s program continues to be included in the state’s “Directory of Accredited Programs,” helping families identify trusted options for their children’s care and early education.
Missouri Accreditation looks for programs that support children's growth in every area: intellectual, emotional, social and physical. To meet the criteria, programs must show they offer age-appropriate experiences through their curriculum, staff training, family involvement and day-to-day practices.
Jefferson College Early Childhood Center Director Stephanie Cage says the recognition is a direct reflection of our amazing team’s everyday dedication.
“This recognition highlights the consistency, care, and heart our team brings to the classroom each and every day,” said Cage. “It’s not just about meeting standards—it’s about creating a warm, nurturing environment where young children can grow, explore, and truly feel supported.”
The community of Hillsboro benefits from Jefferson College’s ongoing dedication to its youngest learners. The Early Childhood Center remains a cornerstone for families seeking safe, enriching and educational childcare options.
