Jefferson College President Appointed to National ACCT Advisory Committee of Presidents
Jefferson College President Dr. Dena McCaffrey has been appointed to the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Advisory Committee of Presidents, a distinguished national committee that provides guidance and leadership on issues impacting community colleges across the country.
The invitation to serve was extended by ACCT President and CEO Jee Hang Lee. The Advisory Committee of Presidents ensures that community and technical college chief executives have a direct voice in recommending and evaluating educational programs offered by ACCT. The committee is comprised of five presidents from each of the five ACCT regions, representing institutions from across the United States.
Dr. McCaffrey’s term began on July 1, 2025, and will continue through December 31, 2027.
“It is an honor to serve on this national committee alongside fellow presidents who are deeply committed to advancing student success and the mission of community colleges,” said Dr. McCaffrey. “This is an important opportunity to represent Jefferson College and our region while contributing to meaningful discussions that impact institutions nationwide.”
The ACCT is a national organization that represents more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern over 1,200 community, technical, and junior colleges in the United States and beyond. The organization is a recognized leader in advocacy and policy development for the community college sector.
