Brocklon Chatman, Head Coach
Brocklon (Brock) Chatman, a native of north St. Louis city, graduate of Christian Brothers College and Missouri Baptist University, and Scott Gallagher Soccer Club alumnus, will be entering his third season at the helm of the Vikings Men’s and Women’s soccer programs in 2020.
Announced as just the third head coach in Viking Men’s soccer history and selected to start the Lady Vikings soccer program in January of 2018, Chatman is 24-7-2 in his two seasons as Men’s Head Coach.
In 2019, Chatman’s second season as head coach, the Viking’s ended their season in the Region 16 Semifinal. The team earned 13 wins and won the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference title for the first time since 2015; they did so with an overall record of 13-3-1, a 6-0 regular season record in region 16, and a 4-0 MCCAC record. The Vikings had 13 student-athletes earn Jefferson College Deans List honors, a NJCAA All-American, United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, 5 All-Region selections, 7 All-Conference selections, and Chatman earned MCCAC Coach of the Year honors.
In his first season at the helm in 2018, Chatman's vikings registered a 11-4-1 overall record, a 5-1 regular season mark in region 16, and a 3-1 MCCAC record. Chatman coached 6 MCCAC All-Conference players, 4 All-Region 16 nominees, 10 student-athletes were named to the Jefferson College Deans list, and 4 student-athletes were named NJCAA Academic All-Americans.
Prior to taking the head coaching reins at Jefferson College, Chatman served as Head Men’s Coach and Assistant Women’s Coach at Louisiana State University-Alexandria for the past three seasons.
In the fall of 2017, Chatman led the LSUA Generals to an 11-7-2 record and Red River Athletic Conference runner up. While assisting the lady Generals to their first ever RRAC regular season championship. 6 of Chatman’s Generals earned All-Conference honors and 20 Generals earned Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors.
In 2016, Chatman led the LSUA Generals with the programs first ever 11-win season, including the program's first ever RRAC Championship and the University’s first ever trip to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. He has established a record of recruiting quality student-athletes, including over 11 All-Conference players, 9 All-Tournament players, and 30 Red River Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors.
In 2015, Chatman’s first season and recruiting class as Head Coach at LSUA, the men’s roster boasted a sweltering 106 men soccer student-athletes. The Generals finished 3rd in the Red River Conference finishing the regular season with a record of 8-8-1. There were 5 NAIA top 25 programs on the 2015 schedule. Chatman’s Generals earned a win over #7 University of Mobile 4-1, the programs only triumph over a NAIA ranked opponent to date. 4 of Chatman’s Generals earned All- Conference honors.
Prior to being named Head Men’s Soccer Coach at LSU-Alexandria, Chatman was the Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s teams in the programs inaugural season, fall 2014, helping both teams to the Red River Conference tournament.
Before moving to LSUA, he served as an Assistant Coach for the St. Louis Lions in the United Soccer League’s professional development league, helping the Lions reach just their second playoff appearance since he was one of the team’s players in 2006.
As an undergraduate, Chatman was named All-American Midwest Conference three times, and was the conference’s freshman of the Year in 2005.

Chatman holds both a Master of Science degree in Sport Management as well as a Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in General Studies and Learning with a concentration in Elementary Education from Missouri Baptist University. He holds a National “C” coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation and numerous certifications from United Soccer Coaches.
