Student's Process to Apply

The Federal Work-Study Program provides on-campus jobs for qualified students.  Students are assigned to jobs in offices, maintenance, the library, the Child Development Center, and as various faculty aids. Campus jobs pay minimum wage. Although wages earned under the Federal Work-Study program are taxable, they are excluded from a student's adjusted gross income for Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA) purposes.

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) — this can be completed online by going to www.StudentAid.gov. Be sure to list the Jefferson College Title IV School Code of 002468.

  2. Review the College Work-Study Job Postings displayed at www.jeffco.peopleadmin.com. Be sure to view the postings early in the semester as most jobs are filled during the first few weeks of the term.

  3. Once you find a position that you are qualified for, you can create an account and apply at www.jeffco.peopleadmin.com.

  4. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the appropriate supervisor.

  5. Once you have accepted a Student Worker position, you will need to visit Human Resources to complete your on-boarding process. This will need to take place on or before your start date.
