Course Description: Prerequisites: PNE141 and PNE144 with grades of "B" or better, successful completion of PNE142, and reading proficiency Corequisite: PNE171 Medical-Surgical Nursing I Clinical allows the student to practice and demonstrate, in a controlled environment and real world settings, basic nursing skills and concepts discussed in PNE171 Medical-Surgical Nursing I. Students are divided into smaller groups for both clinical simulation and clinical rotation assignments. (F, S)

Bio: Mrs. Rola graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in 2015. She completed the Pediatrics fellowship at Mercy St. Louis and worked in a variety of settings in the Women`s and Children`s tower. Since graduating, Mrs. Rola has obtained her certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurse (APHON) Provider. In addition to her role as Clinical Coordinator, Mrs. Rola has taught pediatric clinical rotations and simulation experiences for Jefferson College. She is also now pursuing her MSN-Ed from Walden University. Mrs. Rola joined the Jefferson College Bi-Level Nursing team in 2019 and is excited to provide meaningful clinical experiences for the Jefferson College PN and RN level students.
