Jefferson College’s Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program offers free classes for adults (17+) to improve reading, math, writing, English, and job skills. Services include GED/HiSET prep, English language learning, and career or college readiness support, helping you reach your goals and open new opportunities. All Jefferson College AEL Instructors have earned their teaching certificate in Adult Education from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). This makes Jefferson College AEL the only accredited program in Jefferson County.
