Inclement Weather Procedures

When a decision to cancel evening classes is made, all classes (Degree, Certificate, Adult/Continuing Education, Adult Basic Education) are cancelled on all campuses.

When Jefferson College is open for evening classes, then all classes will meet in all locations where degree classes are offered.

Adult/Continuing Education classes that are held in the local public schools (Fox, Hillsboro, Festus, Northwest, Jefferson R-7, DeSoto) will not meet when that school is closed.

 Workforce Development/Continuing Education Courses Offer Opportunities for All Ages
Don’t put off your future any longer! Those who are seeking professional development, licensure certification, job skills improvement, or age-appropriate personal interest and enrichment experiences can enroll in a variety of workforce/professional development and continuing education and courses available through Jefferson College.
Workforce/professional development offerings include business, education, food service, health care, industrial technology, water/wastewater, customized training, workforce linkage workshops, and WorkKeys employment assessment. A series of eight subject-specific training institutes are also available with instructor-led and/or online training options.
Besides traditional on-site courses, over 5,000 workforce development courses are also available online.
Continuing education subject areas include art, business, computers, crafts, dance, guidance, history, language, music, recreation, and swim.
