“Beyond the 9–5” Open House for Adult Learners on April 16
Jefferson College will host a special open house event, “Beyond the 9–5,” designed specifically for adult learners looking to start, continue, or complete their educational journey.
The event will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Library/Administration Building on the Hillsboro campus (1000 Viking Drive).
This open house is tailored for individuals balancing work, family, and other responsibilities who are interested in earning a degree, changing careers, or completing a high school diploma. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore flexible pathways and connect with campus resources designed to support adult students.
Throughout the evening, participants can meet with representatives from key student support areas, including Financial Aid, Academic Advising, the Academic Success Center, Accessibility Resource Office, Vikings Care, Workforce & Employment Services, and Adult Education & Literacy (AEL). Program tours will also be available.
A highlight of the event is a free transcript review, allowing prospective students to bring their transcripts and receive guidance on remaining coursework needed to complete their educational goals. Attendees are encouraged to bring a valid photo ID.
“Beyond the 9–5” reflects Jefferson College’s commitment to meeting students where they are and providing accessible opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Prospective students are encouraged to register in advance.
