Jefferson College’s Academic Success Center earns ICLCA Learning Center Certification
Jefferson Colleges Academic Success Center, led by Coordinator Patricia Lee, was recently awarded the International College Learning Center Association (ICLCA) Learning Center Certification for 2025-2028.
The Academic Success Center (ASC) was scored on criteria topics that included program and services; organizational framework; academic integrity and learning environment; funding, resources and design; staff and professional development; promotion and public relations; and assessment and evaluation.
The ASC offers a comprehensive set of programs and services to support all students in setting and meeting their academic goals. ASC locations offer a student friendly work environment where students may work on their own, in groups, or with a tutor. Specific strengths of this learning center are connections to the classroom, campus partnerships, staff training, CRLA certified tutor training, and the use of innovative technology.
ICLCA’s Learning Center Certification promotes professional standards for learning centers, encourages centers to develop, maintain and assess quality programs and services to enhance student learning, and celebrates the outstanding achievements of centers that meet the standards like Jefferson College’s Academic Success Center.
