Preview Day
Join us for Preview Day on Saturday, March 4, from 9 am - noon, on the Hillsboro campus. Preview Day is an OPEN HOUSE event designed for prospective students and their families to:
- Tour campus - including an apartment at Vikings Woods Student Housing
- Explore degree and certificate options
- Meet faculty and staff
- Learn about the academic programs and resources available to students
- Shop at the Bookstore and receive a coupon for 30% one apparel or gift item
- Receive a FREE T-SHIRT (while supplies last) the day of the event!
- Enjoy free samples and cookies provided by the Culinary Arts department

FAQs:
Is there a preferred place to park?
The Orange Parking Lot will be reserved for Preview Day participants. This parking lot is located across the street from the Field House in front of the Administration Building and Library.
Where do students check in for the event?
Check in for students will be in the Lobby of the Administration Building, which is attached to the Library. During check in, each student will receive a FREE t-shirt, map of campus, and bag to carry items.
Do I need to be present for the entire event?
No, visitors to Preview Day can come and go as they please. Just be sure to make note of the time of any presentations you would like to attend.
Where do I learn about academic programs and resources?
The Library will serve as the main locations to feature our programs and resources. Additionally, some academic programs and campus resources will be featured in the Fine Arts, Arts and Science I, Technology Center, Student Center, and Career and Technical Education buildings. Viking Woods Student Housing will be open for students who would like to see an apartment.
How do I get started at Jefferson College?
Concurrent admissions and financial aid sessions will be available at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. in the Arts and Science I building. The admissions presentation will be held in Arts and Science room 117 and the financial aid presentation will meet in room 119. Additionally, staff will be available at resource tables in the Library for the duration of the event. The Admissions and Enrollment Services offices in the Student Center building will be open in case students want to confirm where they are in the enrollment process.
Can I bring my family to the event?
Yes, the more the merrier!
How do I get a tour of campus?
Guided tours will be available throughout the event and will depart from outside of the Library. Visitors will also have the option of taking a self-guided tour, and sidewalk helpers will be available throughout campus to assist guests. Golf cart tours will be available for those with mobility issues.
Will the Bookstore be open during the event?
Yes, the Bookstore will be open from 9 am - noon. Students will receive a coupon to receive a discount on one apparel or gift item.
Are there any additional events happening on campus that day?
Yes, the Spring Play, The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong, is at 7 pm in the Fine Arts Theatre (General Admission $5, Students/Seniors $2).
