Business Resources

Coming Soon - Small Business Incubator / Development Center

Workforce and Employment Services will have a new space in the fall that will include a Small Business Resource Center. The goal of this space is to provide companies with professional analysis, confidential consultation, and educational sessions to help meet the daily challenges of operating a business. Intended supports include: Individualized consultation, marketing strategies, financial analysis and SBA Loan Information, and technology access.

Partnership in Business and Industry

This group, consisting of members from business, industry, K-12 schools, and the college, meets twice annually to build partnerships that create opportunities for Jefferson County students by addressing workforce development needs and fostering collaboration between education, industry, and the community.

Workkeys

Workforce offers WorkKeys, a job skills assessment from ACT that measures "real-world" skills employers value for workplace success. Current or potential employees can undergo WorkKeys Testing and earn NCRC (National Career Readiness Certificate), a credential that verifies their qualifications for a position.   a to determine their qualification for a position. These qualifications are determined by a job profile, which analyzes a number of occupations to establish guidelines for success in a given role.
