JEFFERSON COLLEGE'S CARE TEAM

  • Jefferson College Care Team: Works with students to support their well-being in a trauma-informed way. The Care Team can answer questions, assist in identifying campus/community resources, or just listen.

FOOD PANTRY

  • Vikings Vault: The Jefferson College Vikings' Vault Food Pantry is stocked with perishable/nonperishable food, cleaning products, and personal hygiene items for Jefferson College students in need. The pantry is located near the cafeteria on the bottom floor of the Student Center. Mini vaults are also available in the Library and at the Arnold location. Please bring your student ID with you when shopping the vault.

FINANCIAL AID

  • Jefferson College’s Financial Aid Office: Assists students in applying for and acquiring state and federal financial aid, facilitates the A+ program, awards scholarships, oversees the federal work study program, and assures compliance with state and federal financial aid guidelines.  This includes calculating the amount of overpayment of paid federal financial aid should a student quit participating in all courses prior to the 60% point of the semester. 636-481-3212 or finaid@jeffco.edu. TTY Users dial 711

  • Accessibility Resource Office (ARO): Students may also be entitled to additional services and supports if they have a disability, including those who developed a disability as a result of experiencing sexual misconduct.   • Jefferson College Viking Woods: Viking Woods Student Housing provides an opportunity for Jefferson College students to learn new life skills through independent living and relationship building. Our multi-person apartments are nestled on a southern hillside of the Hillsboro campus - just a short walk to everything the campus has to offer. All apartments are equipped with full access kitchens and furnished living areas.

ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG RESOURCES

  • Student Wellness and Counseling Services: Counseling services are confidential and free for any college student. Virtual and in-person counseling services are offered. Virtual services are offered through Central Methodist University, contact cccjeffco@centralmethodist.edu.   • Jefferson College's College Behavior Profile (CBP): The College Behavior Profile (CBP) is a web-based brief intervention program designed to reduce high-risk drinking, marijuana use and related harms among college students.  The CBP can also reinforce low-risk behaviors and reaffirm those who choose to abstain from alcohol and marijuana use.
  • Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations (MACRO) Recovery Ally Training: The Collegiate Recovery Ally Training is designed to help faculty, staff, and students:
    • Understand substance use disorders and recovery
    • Recognize myths and understand stigma about substance use disorders
    • Know how to use person first, recovery friendly language
    • Know how to support someone seeking, or already in, recovery

SEXUAL MISCONDUCT/VIOLENCE

  • Jefferson College Title IX: The Jefferson College Title IX Sexual Harassment Procedure and Grievance Process for students and employees both prohibit any form of discrimination on the basis of sex, inclusive of sexual harassment.   • Jefferson College Police The Police Department can provide assistance with available processes within the criminal justice system. The Jefferson College Police Department is responsible for enforcing any judicially issued protective measures, such as an Order of Protection, Restraining Order, or similar order. The Jefferson College Police Department can assist individuals in seeking such Order and should be provided with a copy of any Order obtained by a member of the campus community. 636-481-3500 or 911.
