Law Enforcement Academy Awarded CALEA Accreditation for Second Time

The Jefferson College Law Enforcement Academy (JCLEA) was recently awarded their second consecutive CALEA (Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies) Training Academy Accreditation. The reaccreditation remains in effect for four years.
National accreditation was achieved by the JCLEA through a highly regarded and broadly recognized body of professional standards representing the culmination of a self-evaluation and subsequent review from CALEA commissioners.
HLC Reaffirms Accreditation for Jefferson College

After years of in-depth preparation and a thorough on-site visit, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) has reaffirmed the College's accreditation for another 10-year period with no focused visits or additional monitoring reports.
Sanction free accreditation is important because it is an indication of academic and institutional strength. Jefferson College is thankful to the Commission for their efforts to make certain that the College’s academic programs, services, and operations remain strong.
