Jefferson College and Missouri State University 2+2 Agreement

In an effort to simplify transferability for Jefferson College graduates, earning a bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University just got easier thanks to a new 2+2 articulation agreement that has been established between the two institutions.

Jefferson College President Dr. Dena McCaffrey and Missouri State Provost Dr. Frank Einhellig signed the agreement during a recent visit to the Hillsboro campus.

With this agreement, the two institutions will develop transfer plans for all Jefferson College students who want to complete their degrees at Missouri State – either online or on the Springfield campus.

Spire and Jefferson College are teaming up to help prepare students for careers in the natural gas industry. This fall, Jefferson College students can apply for the Spire Cooperative Education Program at Jefferson College – a two-year educational, hands-on experience that prepares participants to become highly skilled technicians in the natural gas field, while they complete a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) associate’s degree.

To qualify for the program, students must have a 2.5 GPA and complete an interview process.

Jefferson College to Award $1.3 Million in Student Emergency Grants

Jefferson College will distribute over $1.3 million ($1,305,078) in federal emergency financial aid grants in connection with stimulus funds through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) for students impacted by the ongoing COVID pandemic.

CRRSAA funds are available to support students struggling to cover any component of their educational costs or for emergency expenses that have arisen due to the coronavirus while attending Jefferson College.

Child Development Center  Achieves 7th Consecutive State Accreditation

The Jefferson College Child Development Center was recently granted state accreditation for the seventh consecutive time by the Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth. 

The accreditation is effective for four years, through May of 2025, distinguishing Jefferson College as an exemplary program offering high quality programming. It is granted to programs that offer developmentally appropriate experiences in an environment conducive to children flourishing intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Jefferson College and Saint Louis University Partner to Offer 2+SLU Transfer Option

A new agreement between Jefferson College and Saint Louis University will allow students who complete an associate’s degree at Jefferson College the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree at SLU in two years as a part of the 2+SLU program.
