The Jefferson College Xi Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa international honor society recently welcomed 83 new members who met the qualifications for membership. To be considered for admission, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
A class of 15 cadets recently graduated from the Jefferson College Law Enforcement Academy in Imperial (032 Peace Officer Standards and Training POST Class), helping to fill the ongoing need for qualified officers in Missouri.
After completing a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum filled with numerous tactical exercises using the latest instructional technology, the 032 class achieved a 100 percent completion pass rate on the POST license exam, continuing the lengthy streak of graduating classes from Jefferson College with a 100 percent total pass rate for the POST Class A license.
In an effort to understand and address questions or concerns that new and current students and families may have about Jefferson College’s plans to reopen for the fall semester, the College will host a virtual town hall on Thursday, July 30, at 6 p.m. via the Jefferson College Go Jeffco Facebook page.
There is no cost to participate and pre-registration is not necessary.

Jefferson College Vice President of Student Services, Dr. Kimberly Harvey-Manus, has announced the Dean’s List for the Spring 2020 semester, containing the names of 684 students who earned the academic recognition.
To qualify for the Dean’s List honor, full-time students must achieve a grade point average of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in at least 12 graded credit hours taken that semester. Part-time students who accumulate 12 or more graded credit hours with a 3.25 grade point average also qualify and must contact the Vice President of Student Services Office within 10 days of grade reporting to be included.
