Mercy is proud to announce that Jefferson College faculty, employees, spouses, students, and community can access virtual visits through Mercy Clinic at Jeffco. This is an alternative option to the traditional in-person visit. Virtual visits are available from any location (home, work, or school). Please call the clinic for an appointment.
What We Can Virtually Treat:
- COVID-19 related questions or concerns and the appropriate referrals
- Establishing primary care for medication refills or stable chronic condition management:
- Blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Type 2 diabetes
- Asthma
- Thyroid disorder
- Depression/anxiety
- Simple acute care conditions including:
- Minor injury
- Joint pain
- Rash
- Conjunctivitis
- Allergies
- Common cold/respiratory issues
- Migraines
- Gastrointestinal
- UTI
What We can NOT Virtually Treat:
- Pregnancy related issues
- Annual physical or wellness exams to establish care with no known medical conditions
- Recent surgery, procedure, or hospitalization follow-up
- Symptoms that include chest pain, trouble breathing, severe abdominal pain, blood in vomit or stool, fainting, trouble with speech/vision/walking/talking, focal weakness, severe headache or head injury, new onset major depression or anxiety
- Conditions that require a complex or sensitive examination
- Need for any controlled substances
What you Need to Know Before your Visit:
- Initial visit will be via video and will require a MyMercy account, we will set you up with this when you call to schedule
- You will need to register online and fill out your insurance information, the visit will be billed via your standard primary care office co-pay
- The ability to order or obtain laboratory testing or imaging studies will be significantly limited
