Disability Support Services
Students with disabilities can utilize support services offered by the Disability Support Services office (DSS) by completing an application packet with the DSS office. Students must provide documentation of their disability from a qualified professional in a timely manner to receive accommodations as they are not retroactive to the beginning of the semester. An Assistive Technology Center is available for students who require adaptive technology and/or additional resources. If accommodations for a disability are needed, please contact Linda Ladendecker-Corley, Disability Support Services Coordinator, at (636)481-3169/797-3000, ext. 3169. TTY users dial 711.
The DSS of Jefferson College is committed to the fulfillment of equal educational opportunities, autonomy, and full inclusion for students with disabilities. DSS serves to determine and ensure appropriate accommodations for qualified students with documented disabilities, to assist students in self-advocacy, and to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
