Course Description: Prerequisites: Admission to the Radiologic Technology program and reading proficiency
Radiologic Technology Independent Study is a course designed to give the student the opportunity to study and be tested on specific areas of radiologic technology in which they may be interested. This self-paced course is designed to assist the radiologic technology student to obtain a deeper education in the selected area of the radiologic sciences including, but not limited to, CT, MRT, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and ultrasound career paths. Students have the opportunity to repeat this course as many times as they would like. (F,S,Su)

Bio: Rachel currently serves Jefferson College as Full Time faculty and Clinical Coordinator of the Radiology Technology Program. Rachel also teaches the Advanced Modality and Registry Review courses for CT, MRI and Mammography. She holds her Masters in Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University and graduated in 2014. She has her Bachelors in Science from Drury University. Rachel completed her Radiography training in 1999. Rachel holds ARRT Registries in Radiology, Cat Scan, Mammography, and QA/QC. Rachel has worked in the field for over 25 years and in the areas of PACS/Teleradiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, pain control and general Radiology. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists, Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences, and The Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technologists.
