Course Description: Prerequisites: Admission to the Law Enforcement Academy and reading proficiency.
Firearms for Law Enforcement I addresses safe gun handling, legal aspects of
firearms, fundamentals of marksmanship, and shooting stance/loading/dry firing. Introduction, skill development and qualification with the hand gun. This coursework uses the current Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) curriculum and objectives. (D)
