Course Description: Pre-/corequisite: Reading Proficiency.
Introduction to Comparative Politics introduces students to political life outside the United States. The course uses a comparative method to examine the political structures, political economies and demographic issues of nine comparative states. Comparative politics covers a range of topics including the formation of the nation-state, democracy, authoritarian governments and the role of political parties in each state studied. (D)

Bio: Mr. Lee earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in History from Arkansas State University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Technology from Jones County Junior College. Prior to joining the Jefferson College faculty, Mr. Lee taught classes at Arkansas State University. He was also the Secretary General for the Arkansas State University Model United Nations Chapter.
