Medical-Surgical Nursing II (MS II) course is designed to assist the novice nursing student in the care of the client with medical-surgical disorders. Emphasis is placed on the systematic attainment of theoretical knowledge utilizing a holistic approach to the nursing process. Care of the client with integumentary, musculoskeletal, renal, neurological, sensory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and reproductive will be explored. (F, S)

Bio: Mrs. Record graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) in 1995. The majority of her career has been in Perioperative Nursing. She also has experience in ENT, OB clinic, missions, and Urgent Care settings. In 2015, Mrs. Record joined Jefferson College as an adjunct clinical instructor. Since then, she has moved into the Simulation lab and didactic instruction in the classroom, accepting a full-time faculty role in 2021. Mrs. Record is passionate about sharing her nursing knowledge with nursing students.
