Course Description: Prerequisite: Admission into the Paramedic Program.
Corequisites: PAR 230, PAR 245, and PAR 250
Paramedic Medical Emergencies prepares the student to identify life threatening and non-life threatening medical emergencies and prepares the student to perform assessments and evaluation on the medical patient. The student will learn proper treatment and transport for these patients. Treatment will include pharmacological interventions, electrical therapy, communication, and support of the patients’ emotional needs. (S)
