Course Description: Prerequisites: Reading Proficiency and one of the following math requirements:
3.0+ HS GPA, HiSET Career/College Ready, or GED 165+ within seven years
ACT Math score of 16+ within two years
Accuplacer Next Gen arithmetic of 230+ within two years
Accuplacer arithmetic 74+ within two years
Accuplacer elementary algebra score of 45-74 within two years
JC Math Readiness algebra score of 20-79 within two years
MTH002 or MTH084 with a "C" or better
Business Mathematics deals with applying math to business situations. Topics covered include trade and cash discounts, merchandise pricing, depreciation, financial statement analysis, and simple and compound interest. Business Mathematics will not count toward the Associate of Arts degree at Jefferson College but will count toward the Associate of Applied Science degree. (F,S,Su,O)
