Course Description: Prerequisite: Admission to the Law Enforcement Academy and reading proficiency
Criminal Investigation for Law Enforcement studies the criminal act and its
investigation including specific crimes against the person and against property.
The process of fact-gathering, testing of hypotheses, and the problem of proof are also examined. This coursework uses the current Missouri Peace Officer
Standards and Training (POST) curriculum related to criminal investigation. (D)
