Lifetime Fitness and Wellness survey course will examine the anatomy and body systems required for physical wellness, along with dietary choice and behaviors. Coping strategies will be explored to prepare students to remain healthy despite challenges in their lives. Students learn how to ensure they are working towards a healthy approach to life, both physically and mentally. (F,S)

Bio: Having finished her Master`s degree program in Sports Management at Missouri Baptist University in the fall of 2007, Aida Steiger teaches in the Health and Physical Education Department and serves as Head Volleyball Coach at Jefferson College. As a player at Jefferson College and St. Louis University, she received numerous awards and accolades while breaking several records. She tied the record for most kills in NCAA history and was ranked second nationally in kills while at Jefferson College. During her athletic career at St. Louis University, Aida was the program`s first AVCA All-American, First Team All-District, and First Team All-Conference USA. She was the first person in any sport to be named C-USA Player of the Week four times in the same season. Aida hold NJCAA, NCAA, and AVCA All-American rankings. Her other awards include MCCAC All-Conference, Region 16 All-Region Team, Who`s Who Among Students at American Junior Colleges, Conference USA All-Conference, St. Louis University MVP 2004-05, Fairfield Invitational MVP, Billiken All-Tournament Team, and AVCA All-Region Team.
