Healthcare Statistics entails a study of healthcare statistics with a focus on the commonly used rates and percentages computed principally on hospital inpatients. This course will also include an in-depth study of hospital statistics, sources, definitions, collection, reporting, and presentation of data. Non-acute data and examples will also be included in the lessons. (F,S,O)

Bio: Niki Vogelsang holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from Saint Louis University and a Master`s degree in Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University.

She worked in the health care industry for seven years prior to transitioning to the education arena. Niki is the Director of the Health Information Technology Program at Jefferson College. She holds a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential. She is also active in the Eastern Missouri Health Information Management Associations (EMHIMA) and the Missouri Health Information Management Association (MOHIMA).
