Course Description: Prerequisite: CRJ110 and Reading Proficiency
An examination of the causes of crime, including theories and their evidence, as well as their application to real-life events. This also covers discussions on the criminal justice system and crime control efforts. The goal for the course is to provide the student with the foundational tools to understand the complex issues of crime, as well as to evaluate causation of crime and crime-control strategies.
