Course Description: Prerequisites: Reading proficiency and one of the following math requirements:
ACT math score of 25 or higher within the past two years
Accuplacer Next Gen advanced algebraic functions score of 250+ within two years
Accuplacer college level math score of 46+ within two years
Accuplacer elementary algebra score of 2116+ within two years
MTH134/134H with a grade of "C" or better and reading proficiency
Business Statistics introduces students to the fundamental principles of statistics. This course includes a study of descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, statistical inference (e.g., sampling distributions, interval estimation, and hypothesis testing), and simple linear regression and correlation analysis. This course includes business applications of statistical concepts and methodology. Business Statistics fulfills a program requirement for students transferring to a four-year school to earn bachelor's degrees in business and economics.(F,S)
