Course Description: Pre/Co-requisite: BIO103 and reading proficiency
Biology for Majors is a comprehensive introduction to the Biological World and the major themes driving its study. This course focuses on the unifying principles of evolution and the cell theory to inform a 2-semester sequence that encompasses all aspects of modern Biology from the chemistry of living things to the biosphere and all its ecosystems. Areas of special focus include microbiology, botany, and zoology. Laboratory time is required. (F,S)
