Course Description: Prerequisites: AUT221 and AUT222 (both courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better) and reading proficiency
Corequisite: AUT252
Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning Systems involves the theory and operation of the heating systems, the mechanical refrigeration systems, and the electrical and vacuum control systems used on automobiles. Completion of this course will prepare the student for employment in the automotive field and to take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Heating and Air Conditioning Test (A7). Bio: Bradley Berrey received his associate`s and bachelor`s degrees from Ranken Technical Institute in Automotive Maintenance Technology and Applied Business Management, respectfully. Prior to assuming the position of Automotive Instructor at Jefferson College, he worked in the field for 20 years in a variety of positions ranging from line tech at two different dealerships where he earned platinum level certifications in both Honda and Daimler Chrysler, to owner operator of his own repair facility for seven years, which he had to close due to a military deployment to Afghanistan. He also has earned his ASE Mastertech, L1 and X1 certifications. Bradley has been with Jefferson College since August 2016.
