Course Description: Prerequisites: AUT211 and AUT212 (both courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better) and reading proficiency
Corequisite: AUT231
Driveline Diagnosis and Service Lab covers the actual diagnosis, service, and repair of driveshafts, CV axles, and differentials. This course also covers in car service of manual and automatic transmissions. Transmission removal and installation as well as clutch service will be covered. Completion of this course will prepare the student for employment in the automotive field and to take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Test (A2) and Manual Drive Train & Axles Test (A3). Bio: Bradley Berrey received his associate`s and bachelor`s degrees from Ranken Technical Institute in Automotive Maintenance Technology and Applied Business Management, respectfully. Prior to assuming the position of Automotive Instructor at Jefferson College, he worked in the field for 20 years in a variety of positions ranging from line tech at two different dealerships where he earned platinum level certifications in both Honda and Daimler Chrysler, to owner operator of his own repair facility for seven years, which he had to close due to a military deployment to Afghanistan. He also has earned his ASE Mastertech, L1 and X1 certifications. Bradley has been with Jefferson College since August 2016.
