  1. Use Firefox or Chrome as your browser. Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
  2. While you may be able to access your course from a mobile device, some of the functionality of the course may be limited. It is recommended that you submit assignments and take tests from a desktop or laptop computer.
  3. Make sure you have a strong, reliable connection to the Internet when you are taking a test or submitting an assignment. If you keep disconnecting from the Internet, your work may not be saved.

Online Course Quality

The quality of online courses at Jefferson College are equal to face-to-face formats and transfer to many institutions. To ensure that Online courses are delivered and designed to maintain the same quality as face-to-face course JCOOL supports AD’s and Faculty each semester as they choose specific online courses to review.

Online Course Quality Standards

Online Course reviews are called Online Quality Assessments (OQA), the Online Quality Assessment reviews the design of online courses taught by full time faculty at Jefferson College. The OQA uses the 11 Online Quality Standards (OQS) as a reference guide. The OQA process aligns with the Institution Assessment Five Year Plan and includes a review team of a Self-Reviewer (SR), a subject matter expert (SME), and an additional Faculty.
