Information for Teachers
Jefferson College welcomes the opportunity to work with well-qualified high school teachers who wish to teach Dual Credit courses at their school.
The Missouri Department of Higher Education and the National Association of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) require Dual Credit instructors to meet the same minimum requirements to teach Dual Credit courses as are required for instructors teaching the course on the college campus. Instructors are required to have a master's degree, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the academic subject in which they are teaching.
In addition, Dual Credit faculty are required to participate in regular evaluations, orientation and on-going professional development through Jefferson College in order continue to be an adjunct member of the Jefferson College faculty.
