Dear Jefferson College Foundation:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and express my sincere appreciation for awarding me the Walmart Stores of Jefferson County Scholarship. This scholarship will allow me to continue my studies in the Business Management program at Jefferson College.
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to go to college and complete my degree in Business. I had placed my education on hold to raise my autistic son. I have no regrets as my son is now twenty-five years old and doing well.
Your generosity is assisting me in living out my dream. I take my education very seriously and strive to learn all that I can. I cannot thank you enough for helping me in my endeavors.
Dear Mr. Dewoskin:
I write to express my sincerest appreciation for the scholarship which was awarded to me for my studies at Jefferson College for the fall 2011 semester.
I will be spending my time at Jefferson College to receive my associates degree, so I will be able to move onto a 4-year college. Which I hope will be The University of Central Missouri. While spending almost 6 years in college I hope to become a history/psychology teacher. My dream is to change a student's life. I have grown to appreciate education, to value education, to want to learn.
I wish to thank you for the scholarship. Being able to use it will help me more than I ever expected.
I have always dreamed of being able to attend college after high school. Now that I have been named as one of the recipients of the JW Thurman Memorial Scholarship program, my dream is becoming a reality. I am glad to have the opportunity to thank you personally for your generosity. Without scholarship patrons like you, there would be many students such as myself unable to pursue the career they have dreamed of.
Dear Jefferson College Foundation:
My name is Mary Brod and I am a Business Information Technology - Legal Professional student at the Jefferson College-Hillsboro campus. I have received two scholarships from Jefferson College since I began my journey to continue my education in the fall of 2010. The first was the GED scholarship, which was useful but has expired, and the second was the Career and Technical Education scholarship, which is in full effect this semester.
The CTE scholarship has helped me by paying for half of my fall tuition which, in turn, allowed me to save enough money from my PELL grant to purchase my first vehicle and pay my car insurance in advance. I’m grateful for both the scholarship and the PELL because without financial assistance, I would not be able to attend college. That’s what I love about Jefferson College! It provides numerous financial opportunities for students to enroll, or stay enrolled, in any degree and/or certificate program.
I will graduate in May 2013 and I will be sad to leave. I have had such a wonderful experience with the students, faculty, staff, and just the overall environment of this place. I will miss you, Jefferson College and all that you offer.
PS: I am jeffco!
Hi, my name is Tonya Donnelly and I received a scholarship from Jefferson College. When I was 16 I became a statistic and dropped out of high school. I always wanted to finish but kept putting it off. Life got in the way and there just never seemed to be enough time. Before I knew it 20 years had passed. In February of this year I signed up for GED classes at Jeffco. I officially got my GED on May 21st. At first my goal was just to pass the test. Then the more practice tests I took, the more I wanted to ace that test and get a scholarship! I have always dreamed of returning to school to pursue my dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. The scholarship is helping me to do that. I can focus more of my attention on school and less on how I am going to pay for it.
Thank you very much Jefferson College.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the scholarship I have been awarded. I am honored to have been selected again and I greatly appreciate your generosity in helping me reach my educational goals.
I am currently working on my Associate in Applied Science in nursing degree. After earning my associates degree, I plan on working as a registered nurse while working towards my Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
I have always dreamed of going to college and pursuing a degree in nursing. I grew up in a large family and college was somewhat of a financial challenge for us. After high school, I attended a vocational school and immediately started working. I returned to school to get my degree after being out in the work force for 16 years. I have been working part-time since returning to school to provide some basic educational expenses, but thanks to your generosity, my dreams are finally becoming a reality.
Once again, I offer my sincerest thanks for your generosity and support in my pursuit of an education to the Joseph Becker Memorial Scholarship.

I am a 39 year old single father with three children at home full time. Money is tight and with receiving this scholarship helps relieve some of the financial burden I have so I do not have to work weekends while attending the nursing program full time.
Thank you so much for awarding me the Twin City Optimist Club Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year. This gift is an answer to my prayer that the Lord would provide the funds for my next two semesters at Jefferson College.
I am excited about my upcoming classes as I pursue a career in education. I want to teach either elementary education or high school mathematics. Thank you again for helping me achieve this dream.

Boyet Single Parent Scholarship,
I am writing this letter to thank you for the award of monies to help me with my school this year. I am grateful for this as it is hard to be a single mother of seven children and be able to afford to further my education. This award will be put to good use. Again, I sincerely would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and for giving me the experience of a lifetime as it will better my future with my children.
