Marketing and Public Relations Department Wins Medallion Awards of Excellence

For the fourth consecutive year, the Jefferson College Marketing and Public Relations Department has been recognized for its excellence by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).

Jefferson College won nine “Medallion of Excellence” Awards in eight categories during the 2016 NCMPR District 5 Conference:

Jefferson College PTK Honor Society Chapter Welcomes 45 New Scholars

A group of 45 students from across the region were recently recognized for their scholarly accomplishments as new members of the Jefferson College Xi Zeta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during the organization’s fall induction ceremony.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international society based on the hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship. To be considered for membership, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Law Enforcement Academy Achieves National Accreditation

The Jefferson College Law Enforcement Academy (JCLEA) has been granted accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Public Safety Training Academies, a division of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA).

​Brandon Moonier Selected as Jefferson College 2016 Alumnus of the Year

The Jefferson College Faculty Senate recently selected Brandon Moonier of Crystal City as Jefferson College’s 2016 Alumnus of the Year.  

Award recipients must have graduated from Jefferson College with a certificate or associate degree, achieved distinction in his/her chosen field of employment, been involved in community service; and not presently serve as a trustee or an employee of Jefferson College.
