Jason has been with the college for twelve years, previously working as an Admissions & Financial Aid Representative and NJCAA compliance officer for the college. Jason helped to create the Student-Athlete Success Program in 2005 and since its inception the program has helped to produce (114) NJCAA Academic Team-of-the-Year Award (3.0 & Above) honored teams and (45) NJCAA Academic All-Americans. The graduation rate of student-athletes on athletic aid is around 90%, while out of the (334) student-athletes to initially start at Jefferson College (173) have graduated; another (65) have transferred on without their AA Degree. Thus, (238) or 71% of the student-athletes have been able to continue their education at the four-year level with another (204) actually moving on to compete.
Prior to working at Jefferson, Jason served as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Academic Services for Student-Athletes at the University of Louisville (99-01). His advising responsibilities included working with: Football, Men's Golf, Women's Tennis, Freshman Men's Basketball, Track & Field, Managers, and Spirit Groups. Jason has been an active member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), and also the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). Jason received the "Club Advisor of the Year Award" for his work with the Student Ambassadors in 2003 and received recognition by his peers in 2008 for his advisement of student-athletes. While at DePauw, Jason was a 4-year letter winner for the DePauw University Football team and still holds records for most field goals in a game (4), longest field goal (48 yards), and is in the top 15 all-time of DePauw Football scoring leaders with (114) pts. He participated in a pro football combine in 1998. Jason and his family reside in Imperial.
