Gov. Nixon Announces Training for Tomorrow Grant 

Jefferson College has received an $871,000 Training for Tomorrow grant that will enable the institution to develop training programs in four high-demand health care occupations: physical therapy technicians; occupational therapy technicians; respiratory therapists; and radiological technicians.

The grant will provide for curriculum development and start up of the new programs by 2011 or 2012. Prerequisite courses should be available in December of 2010.

“Registration Rally” Enrollment Day April 24 

Jefferson College will host its annual “Registration Rally” on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at all three of its locations in Hillsboro, Arnold and High Ridge as part of a special enrollment day for 2010 summer and fall classes. 

The Registration Rally is designed for potential students who want to receive information about career fields and degree/certificate programs in order to get a college education or upgrade their employment skills. Those that attend will receive one-on-one assistance with course selection and registration. The event also includes information regarding financial aid assistance and campus tours. 

There is no cost to attend and no appointment is necessary. Those that wish to enroll are required to bring a photo ID and show COMPASS placement test scores prior to the registration process.
