Maintenance Technician IV

Jefferson College seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician IV to perform duties related to HVAC, electrical distribution, computerized energy management, and building alarm systems.  Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, installation and/or replacement of systems. 

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Minimum of three years directly related experience and two years applied training or an equivalent combination of experience and training required. Training and/or working knowledge of HVAC (5 ton - 140 ton, rooftop and split systems), electrical distribution systems (primary and secondary, milivolt to 12,500 volts, single to three phase), computerized energy management (Trane Tracer & Summit, KMC, and Reliable), applicable building codes, instructional machine setup and maintenance, and plumbing required.  Must have good record-keeping, scheduling, and communication skills.  Missouri driver's license and criminal background checks required. 

Salary:  $38,509 plus an excellent benefits package.

Secretary - Business and Community Development

Jefferson College is seeking a full-time secretary to provide administrative support for the department of Business and Community Development in the areas of continuing education, adult education, customized training and workforce development.  Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional evenings at Continuing Education sites.

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Associate degree in Business Information Technology preferred.  Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to handle multiple tasks including course scheduling, registration, and tracking functions.  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required.  Prior work experience in related areas preferred.

Salary:  $27,414 with excellent benefits.

Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructors

The Culinary Arts program of Jefferson College is accepting applications for qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills for the evening college program.  Beginning course topics include: basic preparation techniques, standardized recipes, recipe conversation, and kitchen mathematics.  Advance courses introduce the elements of nutrition, food classification, menu etiquette, and business aspects of the culinary arts, including banquets and catering, cost control and management.

Jefferson College is seeking Substitute Teachers for the Area Technical School for high school/college-level credit trade and technical courses. Programs will range from Automotive Technology to Applied Communications taught on the Jefferson College Hillsboro campus.

Qualifications: Requires a minimum of 60 college credit hours.  Must have a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate or be willing to apply for such upon hire.  A valid K-12 Missouri Teacher's Certificate will suffice. 

Salary: $70 per day, $35 per half-day.
