| Medication Technician Program |

This six semester hour course allows a Certified Nurse Assistant to prepare, administer and chart medications (except those given by injection). This program is offered each semester and includes 68 hours of classroom instruction and at least eight hours of supervised clinical training. The student must be 18 years of age and be a high school graduate or have a GED. The student must be a Certified Nurse Assistant and be employed in a long-term care facility.
Prior to the first class, students must successfully pass (75% or better) the BEST test for reading and math which may be taken in the College's Assessment Center. Upon successful completion of this program, the student is certified by the Missouri Division of Aging. |
