St. Anthony's Charitable Foundation will help fund the education of future health care professionals thanks to a recent $10,000 donation to the Jefferson College Foundation. The money will fund scholarships for students in the college's allied health programs.

"Jefferson College is extremely grateful to the St. Anthony's Charitable Foundation for its generous gift to fund student scholarships," said Jefferson College President Dr. Raymond Cummiskey. "As a regional leader in providing outstanding healthcare occupational training for area residents, the scholarships will enable deserving students to receive a high-quality education while meeting the critical need for skilled healthcare professionals. Jefferson College is proud to partner with St. Anthony's to help care for our community."

The $2,000 scholarships will be granted to five students in need who are enrolled in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, radiologic technology, or health information technology.

"This donation represents the beginning of a community partnership between Jefferson College and St. Anthony's," said Patricia Ranzini, Executive Director of the St. Anthony's Charitable Foundation. "We are both committed to improving the health of our residents by providing the most qualified health care workers who live and work right here."

St. Anthony's Medical Center is among the largest hospitals in the St. Louis metropolitan area, serving residents from nine Missouri and Illinois counties and the city of St. Louis.
