#14-28

Jefferson College students Kassidy Bilin of Richwoods, Helen Maschmeyer of Festus, Annie Mbale of De Soto, and Melissa Littrell of Hillsboro were recently awarded Elizabeth Hoyt Clark Honors Program Scholarships in recognition of their educational goals and success. English Professor/Honors Program Director Dr. Andrea St. John and retired English Professor/Honors Program Director Trish Loomis presented the scholarship awards during a reception in the students' honor.

The Elizabeth Hoyt Clark Honors Program Scholarship was created by her family in 1994 to assist Honors Program students at Jefferson College in pursuing their education. Scholarship applicants must submit a written explanation of their educational goals and career plans. The $500 scholarship is awarded to students pursuing an Honors Diploma with a minimum grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.  A committee of Honors Program faculty determines the recipients of the award each semester.
