Unrestricted Annual Fund
Unrestricted donations to the Annual Fund provide the flexibility needed to meet the changing needs of all areas at Jefferson College, which ultimately benefits the students.
Scholarships
Endowed Named Scholarship
An endowed named scholarship is set up to pay out tuition assistance through interest on the fund's principal or corpus each year while leaving the principal donation intact.
Annual Named Scholarship
An annual named scholarship is set up through the provision of an annual gift to the Jefferson College Foundation.
Institutional Scholarship
The College has several established institutional scholarships that play a vital role in providing talented and promising students with the opportunity to obtain an education.
Endowment Fund
For Jefferson College to better serve future generations, alternative financial arrangements must be pursued, such as the growth of an endowment fund that can provide ongoing sources of revenue for a specific purpose or general funding. Only the fund's interest is used each year while the corpus or principal remains intact to generate funds for use in the future.
Capital Projects and Infrastucture Needs
As the facilities on our Hillsboro campus are over 40-years-old, a variety of capital improvements and enhancements are necessary to continue to provide a quality education to our current students and ensure the same benefits to future generations. Some of these projects are:
- New College entrance project.
- Construct sidewalks to connect all buildings on campus.
- Repair or replace campus bell sound system.
- Installation of air conditioning in the field house.
- Increase lighting in parking lots and along walkways.
- Replace 1985 Dodge cargo van.
- Construct auxiliary physical education/athletic facility.
- Purchase one-ton dump truck with snowplow.
- Replace non-functional equipment in classrooms and the athletic building.
- Construct Student Center and Life Development Center.
- Install an elevator in the Field House to accommodate individuals with physical needs.
Program Development
Biotechnology Program
After just one year of training in the Biotechnology program, qualified students are prepared for work in biomedical laboratories researching areas such as DNA sequencing, genetic engineering, vaccine development and cancer. Donations help purchase state-of-the-art lab equipment for use in our classrooms.
Veterinary Technology Program
Jefferson College is one of only two facilities in Missouri that offers a Veterinary Technology program. Students receive the training they need to achieve a successful career in the veterinary field. Donations help purchase state-of-the-art equipment such as a cell counting system, microscopes, radiograph processor, dental scaler, anesthesia equipment and training manikins. In-kind donations of new or used lab equipment also help maintain an optimal learning environment for our students.
Automotive Technology Program
To accommodate the growing demand and increased number of enrolled students, our Automotive Technology Program requires over 4,500 of additional training space and the necessary equipment to fill it. The addition of four bays, a lecture hall, and new automotive diagnostic instructional equipment are necessary.
To further meet a growing demand, an Auto Body Program is being planned for the future.
Special Projects
Faculty, Staff and Program Development
Funding for unique projects and activities, professional development or equipment that has a direct impact on the educational experience of our students.

- Replace musical instruments
- Replace equipment in the Fine Arts Theater

Career Education
In order to prepare students enrolled in career technical areas of study such as welding, culinary arts and childcare to enter the workforce, they must be trained in settings and on equipment that they will use throughout their careers. Donations to the Career Education program will help purchase the equipment and supplies needed to do just that. Your donation will help:
- Upgrade the welding shop instructional lab.
- Replace and increase culinary arts instructional equipment.
- Purchase cognitive learning supplies and teaching resources for the childcare lab.
