Carita Singers Final Opus
The Carita Singers, a contemporary Christian music choir, is dissolving its non-profit corporation After nearly 28 years, . It was a group decision to donate the balance of their funds to Jefferson College, which inspired the formation of this amazing ecumenical ministry.
The vocal choir performed with recorded accompaniment mostly for church services, but also for church reunions and anniversaries, homecomings and festivals.

Remembering Dr. William R. Todd
Family members of Dr. William R. Todd visited the Hillsboro campus in August to discuss the annual endowed scholarship named for this 1975 Jefferson College graduate who later taught at Jefferson College until his death in 1992 at the age of 37.

Family Establishes Scholarship To Honor Academic Excellence
Jefferson College Dean, Julia Hampton, thought it would be nice to give her mother the recognition that she deserves. As the dean said, “I believe so strongly in the Jefferson College Honors Program, which allows students to interact, to be involved in course material, and develop critical thinking skills. So, this scholarship honors both my mom and the Honors Program.”
The Elizabeth Hoyt Clark Honors Scholarship, named for Dean Julia Hampton’s mother, who, according to the dean, “was such a wonderful person---gentle, kind, and caring.”

Scholarship Dollars Allow a Deserving Student To Follow Her Dreams
Representatives of the Kress Farm Garden Preserve in Hillsboro presented a $1,000 check to Jefferson College student Jennifer Rauscher of Imperial as recipient of the Kress Farm Garden Preserve Warren Lorella Scholarship.
The Kress Farm Scholarship honors commitment to environmental preservation.
