Jeffco Volunteer Certificate
The Office of Student Development offers Jefferson College students an opportunity to be recognized for the volunteering they do each year. The Jefferson College Volunteer Certificate acknowledges students that have achieved a certain standard of volunteering over the course of an academic year. Students will be honored for their volunteer service at the annual Club Awards Night recognition event in April.*
Students who meet the volunteer requirements will earn an official Letter of Volunteer Achievement outlining the number of hours completed and the impact volunteering has on the local community, along with a formal certificate. Additionally, students will be able to reflect this accomplishment on college transfer applications, resumes, and job applications.
Students will receive recognition at one of three levels based on the number of hours completed in an academic year. All award levels receive a certificate and a Letter of Volunteer Achievement.
10-19 volunteer hours each academic year
20-29 volunteer hours each academic year
30+ volunteer hours each academic year
A platinum level certificate may be awarded to the student or students who have achieved an outstanding level of volunteer service in an academic year, with a minimum of 50 volunteer hours.
Volunteer Hour Verification
The Office of Student Development will verify the volunteer hours completed by each student, and keep an ongoing total of volunteer hours. Click on the link below to verify your hours.
*Students will be award at the level they have achieved on March 31st of each year, including anticipated volunteering that will occur after March 31st. Once all verifications have been received, the official Letter of Volunteer Achievement will be mailed to each student.
