Tutoring & Resource Lab
The Health Professions Tutoring & Resource Lab (HPTRL) provides targeted tutoring in the Health Occupations Programs, specifically prerequisite Anatomy & Physiology coursework. The lab utilizes various tools to enhance learning. Tools include gamification of course content and Open Educational Resources (OER). A state of the art Anatomage Table is utilized to provide students with a virtual look into the human anatomy. Professional and peer tutoring is available, as well as intentional advising.
There will be an effort to align lab activities with current lecture material, review of tests (“What did I miss?” “Why did I miss it?”) and mock assessments for test preparation.
Through the HPTRL Coordinator and HP Navigator, students can be assured of being provided with the support they need to move on to a successful educational career at Jefferson College.
Industry recognized credentials that individuals have the opportunity to earn include:
- National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Blood-borne Pathogen
